2 kind souls - Eleftheriou and Gary Harvey pointed out that the links in my emails from aweber is NOT clickable. They had to manually cut and paste the URL into their browser if they want to view it.
DUH …
No wonder the responses had been pretty dismal. Anyway, after a few tests, here’s what I found out.
1. If you write/send only TEXT mails, then all the links will be live - i.e. clickable
2. If you choose to send TEXT and HTML emails in aweber, then you need to use the aweber’s WYSIWYG editor to insert your hyper link. Highlight the anchor text, click on the hyperlink button and insert the target URL.
3. If you want to track the responses (i.e. those who click on the links in your email), then check the “Enable tracking of click-throughs from links in your message” box. Your links will then look like some goobley gook hyperlink. When your subscriber clicks on it, Aweber will record that hit.
Cheers,
Adrian
