I just read a forum post in the SSS Circle that effective March 31, all digital goods will be banned in the eBay auction process.

In other words, eBay will ban digital stuff like:

* eBooks
* MP3’s
* Digital Videos/Audios
* Websites/Blogs
* Domain Names
* Graphic Design Services
* Photo Services
* And any other service that can be delivered electronically …

Here’s a quote from Brian Burke, eBay’s Director Global Feedback Policy:

“… effective March 31 all goods that can be digitally downloaded or transferred electronically must be listed using the Classified Ads format.

Sellers who wish to continue to offer digital goods can do so by selecting the Everything Else>Information Products category in the Sell Your Item form and choosing the Classified Ads format (not auction-style or fixed price)…. ”

The above announcement was made on 24th March.

This will cause an uproar among the many thousands of eBayers selling digital goods/services on eBay. Let’ see how eBay respond to the market come 31st March.

In the meantime, if you are currently selling digital stuff at eBay, it’s good to find another alternative such as ClickBank - the market leader in selling/buying digital products and services
