CHD - Congenital Heart Defect. It kills thousands of children every year.

Did you know that approximately 8 out of every 1000 children born alive (0.8%) will have some form of CHD? Here are some facts about CHD:

* Occurs in 8 of every 1,000 live births
* About 3,00,000 Indians born with CHD each year
* 32,000 babies born with CHD each year in the US
* Atleast 35 distinct forms recognized
* Mortality from CHD is decreasing
* But CHD incidence has not declined!

My wife and I are extremely grateful to God for 2 lovely, happy and healthy kids. Little Hannah is now 19mths, a real “live wire”. Fara is 5++, and enjoying her kindy with her friends every day.

Sadly, not every child is able to enjoy a normal life due to CHD.
