I often get this question – does the ClickBank’s IPN technology works for vendors only?
Will it work if I’m an affiliate?

The answer is YES. ClickBank’s IPN works for both ClickBank Vendors and
ClickBank Affiliates.

However, before you can make use of the IPN technology, you would need to add a “Secret Key” in your ClickBank account (ClickBank’s secret key is simply an arbitary string – 16 characters max which is used to verify customer purchases)

To add a Secret Key, login to your ClickBank account, and click on the
“Account Settings” –> “my Site” tab. See the image below:

Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Edit” in the “Advance Tools” section. See screenshot below:

You can then enter an arbitary string below (16 characters max, all in uppercase).

If this is your first time requesting for ClickBank IPN access, click on the (Request Access) link. You will then need to answer a series of questions – see the screen shot below:

Once you’ve answered “YES” to all the questions, checked the “I agree” box and submitted the form, access to the ClickBank IPN will be made available.

You can now enter the IPN URL as shown in the screen shot below:
