The title of a book caught my eye as I was walking out of the bookshop.
Get It Done!
I stopped and picked it up.
It cost $29.95 (you can get it cheaper at amazon, I just checked).
No, I’ve not read the book – I don’t have the time to wade through 265 pages of text :-)
I’m only interested in the title – “GET IT DONE!”
In case you’re wondering, I have a tendency to “over-analyze” and I also tend to be a “perfectionist” – as a result – a number of projects never got off the ground.
The book title – “GET IT DONE” manage to get the message across – powerfully!
So I got the book. If you asked me, whether it’s worth paying $30 for 3 simple words ($10 per word – whew!) … I would emphatically say “YES”.
The moral of this story?
You pay for “solution” – not quantity. Those 3 words gave me the “kick in the pants” that I need to get started … and to GET THINGS DONE!
* I can safely say I will never read any of those 265 pages in that book. But does it matter? The $30 “investement” has paid for itself multiple times already :-)
Warmly,
Adrian
