Long time since we were last in contact:-)
I watched the original show as it was happening and like virtually everyone else in the U.K., I expected a load of rubbish from her (the program has so many ‘wannabes’ who have absolutely no talent).
Like the judges, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when she started to sing. She has a wonderful voice and she has taught this nation to stop judging by appearances alone.
In honesty, she did behave very ‘strangely’ before she sang and gave a very bad impression, but proved us all wrong. Thank goodness she is from a family of singers and received training from her family.
As you know I am well into my twilight years (now 74 years old) but what you don’t know is that I am also a singer. I’ve won a number of competitions but stopped entering them because young people always win now.
Only in the Philippines where I now live 50% of the time, accept old ‘wheezers’ like me as singers. I get some wonderful receptions.
